When designing custom awards and corporate gifts, we always take inspiration from the visual identity of our client, especially the company logo. There are cases when the corporate trophy is essentially a three-dimensional representation of the company’s logo, and this was precisely the case in this project. This time, we created awards for SPECIÁLTERV Ltd., a prominent company in the bridge and infrastructure design sector.
The SPECIÁLTERV logo symbolically combines the form of a bridge structure (specifically, the award-winning Robinson’s bridge) with a path extending infinitely—this complex symbolism was transformed into a concrete award.
The custom awards were crafted for two different occasions—both recent graduate civil engineering students and long-standing employees were presented with these concrete trophies.
PROSPECT Degree Award Competition
In the summer of 2023, the PROSPECT thesis award competition was announced for graduating and recent graduate civil engineering students. The top three participants were honored with concrete trophies in a light grey color. Part of the concrete surfaces were finished with gold, silver, and bronze paint.
Recognition for Longstanding Employees
In December of the same year, employees were also presented with concrete trophies. Those who had worked for more than 20 years at the company received personalized awards at the year-end dinner. Darker concrete elements were connected with transparent acrylic sheets. The inner edges were highlighted in a subtle cream shade, matching the color of the logo and the employees’ names on the trophies.
Why were these trophies made of concrete?
For construction industry companies, a concrete trophy is particularly fitting, as the material inherently reflects the company’s activities. Additionally, concrete’s durability and timelessness symbolize strength, perseverance, and the lasting value that the company recognizes through these awards.
